Government launched a major consultation last year to assess whether the current copyright framework is ‘fit for purpose’ in the digital age. Government’s response to this Hargreaves Review on IP and Growth, which was assessing this question, was published in August 2011. It said it broadly accepted the Review’s recommendations, and outlined how it proposes to act on them.
