What is BiG?

The Brighton Illustrators Group (BiG) is not an illustration agency but a group run by illustrators for illustrators on a voluntary basis. Since BiG was formed in 1988 its role has been to support and advise freelance illustrators living in Brighton and the surrounding area. Our aim it to share information about professional practice though our meetings, newsletters and website as well as providing networking opportunities. We also aim is promote the use of illustration through our website and raise the profile of the group.

Who are BiG members?

The group encompasses the vast range of experiences from recent graduates to illustrators with more than 30 years experience. Our members work in all areas of illustration, from editorial, children’s publishing, merchandising to the growth area of new media.

How can I join BiG?

Sign up here! Members pay an annual fee to join. For your BiG membership fee you will receive e-newsletters and have your portfolio on the BiG website. There may be additional charges for exhibitions, parties and any further promotional material. Our only criterion is that you live in the BN postcode area. If you have previously been a member, please log in and you can renew your membership and update any past details and your portfolio.

How much does it cost?

The current annual membership fee is £40.

Joining BiG

Please pay online. You can join and pay through this website using Paypal (you don't need a Paypal account to do this). Members can have a portfolio on this site, receive the BiG e-newsletters and be invited to participate in BiG events.
