Guest Speaker Zoe Tucker is a design Manager and commissioning designer from Alison Green Books, part of Scholastic. She has commissioned such luminaries as Nick Sharratt, Helen Stephens and Axel Scheffler. Zoe will talk us through the picture book process, from characterisation, roughs and storyboarding to cover design, the retail climate and advice on submissions. Invaluable! Following on from her talk, Zoe and several BiG members working in publishing including Jo Moore, Alan Baker and Penny Dann will make up a panel to discuss, share experiences, pose and answer questions.
