SketchCrawl
Sat 21 Nov 2009 by Alan (Fred)_Pipes
SketchCrawl is a regular event that happens in towns and cities all over the world - you can read more on http://www.sketchcrawl.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2224. 21st November is its 5th birthday, and as far as we are aware, there has never yet been a Brighton event. Until now... Come and draw amongst supportive friends - at the end of the day, we'll upload our pictures of Brighton - its people, buildings, and anything else that catches your eye - to the SketchCrawl Flickr pool, helping to make up a composite image of the world on that day. http://www.flickr.com/groups/sketchcrawl/ No need to be a great artist - indeed, we are far from that ourselves. The aim is to have fun, to meet new people, and to provide an opportunity to sketch. Sometimes it's hard to pick up that pen and sketchbook... but here's an opportunity to get some proper drawing in. We'll meet in the Jubilee library at midday, where we'll be near the big windows on the ground floor, looking out onto Jubilee Square. Depending on the weather, we'll either move to pubs and coffee shops, or out into the open. If you can't make 12.00, leave a comment here and we can arrange to let you know where we are, later on in the afternoon. BRING: pens, pencils, a small box of watercolours or whatever your favourite media are; a sketchbook; warm clothes; cash for coffees or drinks.
