Paul CemmickBack to portfolios
Paul Cemmick became obsessed with drawing cartoons as a child and after an abortive attempt at becoming a graphic designer he reverted to his first love (Pauline Nelson from 4C) and became a freelance cartoonist. Since then he has contributed cartoon illustrations and comic strips to numerous magazines and newspapers as well as working on four award winning TV shows- Spitting Image, Tony Robinson’s Maid Marian and her Merry Men, 2DTV and Horrible Histories. He has recently published a book of his life drawings after a successful exhibition in Palma, Mallorca (see link) and is next collaborating with the writer/illustrator Lorna Kent on a book of mythical creatures which will be a mix of Paul's sensuous drawings and Lorna's atmospheric poems. To earn a living he is currently producing regular comic strips for BBC Worldwide and has a monthly spot in SFX magazine. He lives in Hove with a stuffed piranha and a life mask of Vincent Price.
